The PSU (Power Supply Unit) for server is a device that converts commercial AC power to DC power as required by the server.

Purpose of Server Power

SoluM server PSU supports not only x86 based servers in data center but also the micro servers of base station for cellular networks like storage, network equipment, and LTE as well as special computers used in nations and research institutions.

Highly efficient power conversion

Power conversion efficiency up to 96% minimizes the waste of electricity saving operation expense of data center (Total Cost of Ownership, TCO). A variety of products are supplied satisfying the strict conditions of the industry standard "80 PLUS" grades like titanium, platinum, and gold.

High power density

High performance server uses a server power supply that maintains small form factor supplying a high power. For internal thermal management of PSU important for reliable operation of server and data center, optimized component arrangement and air flow control enable stable server operation.

High reliability

In order to operate servers in data center for 24 hours, PSUs should run without interruption. The optimum number of server power components and minimized stress against the parts lengthen the span of the product life and elevate the product credibility.

High power density of 2.2kW, high-efficiency in server PSU design

Server PSU is usually 1Unit (40mm) tall. Within the limited space, PSU has to supply more power in order to realize ever-increasing computing performance. Customers for the system demand new design for increased power capacity and as a result, the power density of PSU is increasing further. We SoluM increase the output 37.5% from 1.6kW to 2.2kW without enlargement of its volume and improves power conversion efficiency at the same time. Our solution meets customers' needs for high power.

High power density of 2.2kW in Server PSU specification

The server PSU of 2.2kW is optimized for Intel x86 CPU platform.

Components placement and heat dissipation performance measurement

Effective heat radiation inside of an enclosed server PSU has a direct effect on stable operation and great reliability.

The lower the temperature stress on main components of the device, the higher the reliability is. The credibility is verified by measuring the temperatures of the components in operation.

    CCC(China Compulsory Certificate)

    CCC is a quality and safety certification scheme that started its operation on August 2003.

    Effective as of August 1, 2003, the CPCS system makes it compulsory to acquire the CCC mark for all types of products that are to be exported to China and fall into the range of the CPCS system.(ul.com)

    This is a mandatory safety mark for the products distributed within the EU region.

    CE mark is used to unify various safety rules of nations and distribute the products certified for safety smoothly.

  • CB(Certificate Body)

    CB(Certificate Body)

    CB Scheme is the first international system for mutual recognition of tests and certification reports on electrical/electronic products. CB Scheme applies IEC standards for 16 electrical/electronic products used in offices and homes. (ul.com)

    BSMI(Bureau of Standards, Metrology and Inspection)

    The product inspection system managed by Taiwan's BSMI (Bureau of Standards, Metrology and Inspection) regulates most electrical/electronic products to be imported to the country.

    The products are controlled by the safety and EMC requirements. Certified products are authorized to use BSMI mark.

  • 80PLUS

    80PLUS

    80 Plus is a certification standard for energy efficiency of PSU for computers. SoluM successfully obtained various grade certifications to the PSUs for over 80% efficiency.
